Milla Serrano Rubio

Salsa & Flamenco Dansakademi is a dance school in Lund, Sweden , founded by Milla Serrano Rubio on January 17, 2015 and active until June 2021.

It is part of the Cubasalsa cultural association in Lund, dedicated to Cubam, Spanish and Latin dance and music. The school has its main focus on two  dance styles - Salsa Cubana and Rumba Flamenca, but works as well with other related dance styles such as Salsaton, Tropicana Cabaret style, Cuban Flamenco, Cuban Rumba, Tangos de Granada and Sevillanas, among others.

  The director and choreographer of Salsa & Flamenco Dansakademi, Milla Serrano Rubio, is a teacher with a degree in Cuban culture and trained by the teachers of the prestigious Tropicana establishment in Cuba . She also collaborated with famous dancers from the Afro-Cuban dance school Raíces Profundas and the Cuban Flamenco Academy, Litz Alfonso in Havana, working on their specific style of Flamenco Rumba with Cuban Fusion. The dance school initially started with a small course in Salsa and Flamenco for kids, which groups participated in the first international dance festival in Lund in 2015. As of 2018, it became the largest flamenco academy in Sweden and in 2019 we made a cultural exchange trip, dancing in the most famous theater in Havana.

The school's different dance groups - Salsa Kidz, Flamenco Kidz, Salsa Junior, Flamenco Junior, Grupo Tropicana, Salsatón and Fusión Flamenca participated in a wide variety of cultural events and dance festivals in Sweden. Multiple press interviews, performances on Swedish national television and participation in cultural events speak of the great national and international recognition of Salsa & Flamenco Dansakademi.
